Get Over It: Your body knows. Your mind just keeps getting in the way.
For years, I muted emotions to “fit in.” The truth? I wasn’t built to be stoic—I was built to feel. When I stopped fighting that, everything softened. Your body is not the enemy. It’s your compass.

    I’m an expat.
I live in Switzerland, near Zug, between Zurich and Luzern.
And here’s the thing:
I’m not here to “sell” you Human Design Psychology.
I don’t have a fixed willpower to convince or push.
What I do have is a knack for noticing where stories land—because they land in the body first.
Your body knows before your mind does.
In an earlier post, I wrote about the “Be Like Me” myth—that quiet pressure to copy someone else’s way of living, feeling, and succeeding.
That myth shaped me too.
For years, I tried to mute my emotions.
Act calm.
Get over it.
But the truth was: I wasn’t wired to be stoic. I was wired to feel and ride my wave. To bond. To connect.
And when I stopped fighting that, everything in my body made more sense.
The Hidden Wiring
I learned I’m what Human Design Psychology calls a Generator.
In plain English?
My body runs on a steady engine of energy—but only when I use it in ways that feel right.
When I push, I burn out.
When I wait for that inner “yes,” I can go for hours—absorbed, alive.
And here’s the kicker: about 7 out of 10 people are Generators.
Think of us as the heartbeat of the world—the engines that keep the lights on, the kitchens warm, the gardens growing.
But the fire only burns clean when we listen to our bodies, not our minds.
Three Shifts That Change Everything
- Wait for the Yes
Your body gives signals when something is right. A lean-in. A spontaneous “mmhmm.” Notice them.
- Give It Time
Some decisions need to ripen. What excites at night may feel heavy by morning. Let the wave pass.
- Finish What You Start
Nothing satisfies more than completing what your body said yes to. It’s a long exhale—you come back to life.
A Different Way to Live
When I ignored my body’s signals, I was exhausted.
My emotions felt too big.
My relationships felt off.
Life felt like hard work with no payoff.
When I noticed the signals—waiting for yes, giving time, finishing what mattered—everything softened.
My body relaxed.
My days filled with ease.
Your body is not the enemy.
It’s your compass.
And when you trust it, you stop chasing other people’s paths… and start walking your own.
The Pivot
- You’re going to be different. Stop trying to fit in.
- Stop proving yourself with hard work. Let results speak.
- Get over the stress. Get over the rush. That’s freedom.
So let me ask you:
Yesterday—did your body give you a clear yes and you ignored it?
Or did you push yourself into something that “made sense” but had no spark?
That’s the difference. That’s the pivot.
Your body already knows.
Without clarity, every "yes" costs $$$ more.
Be different. Stop proving. Get over the stress.
